Standard orders are shipped via FedEx SmartPost to ensure your packages arrive quickly and reliably. Your tracking number will be provided via email upon shipment (usually within 24 hours of order placement during normal business days). Final delivery will be made by USPS or FedEx. You may choose to expedite your order at the time of checkout at an additional cost. Note: we cannot change shipment speed or destination once the package has shipped. AK and HI orders are subject to additional shipping rates.

Orders over $50 will ship ‘Free’ standard delivery (FedEx SmartPost). Orders less than $50 will incur a $5.99 flat rate shipping fee. The Pregnancy Pillow and the Baby Lounger are not eligible for free shipping.   Shipping rates for these items will be calculated at checkout, AK and HI subject to additional shipping rates.

We accept returns after using soothing and feeding products for 30 days. This is our satisfaction guarantee. We believe in the performance of our products, and they should match your expectations. We ask that you use the products for 30 days since it can take a bit for babies to get used to new products, especially feeding and soothing items. Used Baby Loungers, used Monarch Nursing Pillows or used replacement Fabric Covers cannot be returned for hygienic reasons, please see the FAQ return policy exceptions for details. Smilo bottles are available in four nipple flow rates. The appropriate nipple stage will depend on the age of your baby. Stage 0: 0 – 2 months | Stage 1: 2 – 5 months | Stage 2: 5-9 months | Stage 3: 9+ months. Our Small bottles (5oz) are perfect for Stage 0 or 1 nipples. Babies will need to feed more as they grow older, so we recommend that the Large bottles (10oz) are used with Stage 1, 2 & 3 nipples. All of our nipples are interchangeable with our bottles and additional packs in various stages are available in the accessories section. *Please note: all stage recommendations are generally accepted guidelines based on average growth rates. We encourage you to start slower and pace up over time. It is recommended to bottle feed babies in a more upright position. If you are transitioning from a different brand, we recommend you start with a stage lower than your current brand. This is because Smilo’s bottle nipple technology reduces air intake for a smoother feed, less gas and colic.

Please do NOT use microwave sterilization bags with Smilo Bottles. These bags are specific to the brands that make them and risk damaging bottles. However, you CAN sterilize Smilo Bottles by placing them in boiling water for a few minutes.  Smilo is also top rack dishwasher safe.

Leaking from the vent: Make sure there’s not a blockage in the vent. You can wash it in running water, or sterilize it in boiling water for 5 minutes. Leaking from the bottle rim: Make sure the nipple, ring, and bottle are properly aligned and that the bottle is screwed together tightly. Also, if you are traveling with a full bottle, the travel disc must be in place to eliminate fluid from entering the nipple. The travel disc creates a seal between the nipple and the bottle contents once the ring is screwed on. If these suggestions don’t work, contact us at [email protected].

The Smilo Nipple comes is three different flow rates: slow, medium and fast. The flow rate can be determined by looking at the number located just above the atmospheric vent of the nipple. A number 1 designates slow flow, 2 medium flow, and 3 fast flow. The flow can also be found by referencing the packaging that the nipples or bottles came in.

If the nipple is collapsing during feeding the nipple vent may be clogged or obstructed. If this happens make sure that the end of the vent (inside the nipple) is clear and free from any blockage. You can easily clean the vent by soaking the vent tip in warm water and soap and flexing it with your fingers. Also, you can sterilize the nipple in boiling water for 5 minutes to clear out anything that may be clogging in the vent. If these suggestions don’t work, contact us at [email protected].

Prior to first use, wash all components in hot soapy water. All bottle components should be washed before every use. All bottle components are dishwasher safe, but please use the top rack and normal wash cycles only. To sterilize the bottles, please consult your pediatrician on recommended options.

Our nipples are available in three different stages. We recommend that you upgrade to a greater flow nipple every 3 months. Please see our ‘The Bottle’ page for more details on stage guide to determine the most suitable flow rates for your baby.  Prior to every use, please inspect the nipples. You should replace the nipple if it shows any signs of wear, which may include but are not limited to tearing, cracking or a change of shape. Please see our ‘Accessories’ section for nipple replacements. Please note that prolonged or continuous fluid sucking can cause tooth decay. Remove the bottle from mouth when the child is not feeding.

Prior to every use, we recommend that you inspect your bottles. You should replace the bottle if it shows any signs of wear, which may include but are not limited to cracking or a change of shape.

To sterilize the bottles, please consult your pediatrician on recommended options. However, you should never use a microwave to warm the fluid inside of the bottle. This can result to serious burns.

The Smilo bottle is engineered to create a natural, uninterrupted flow that fends off colic, gas, ear infections, and other pint-sized problems.

To assemble the bottle pull the nipple through the underside of the ring. The nipple flange should fit evenly around the ring. If you are using the travel disc, place the travel disc on top of the prepared bottle prior to screwing on the ring and nipple assembly. The travel disc should match the direction shown in the bottle instructions for use document. Screw the ring / nipple assembly onto the bottle. Tighten to a snug fit. If you are using the cap, place the cap evenly over the nipple / ring assembly and push down. There will be a positive click when the cap is engaged with the ring.

The disc helps prevent any leakage when you’re on the go! It firmly seals between the nipple and bottle, by simply placing it over the bottle before screwing on the cap. Don’t forget to remove the disc prior to feeding. Perfect for your travel needs, safe and secured!

When transitioning from another brand it could take a few feeds for your child to transition to our nipple, which requires less suction energy than competitor products.  We encourage feeding at a semi upright to seated position and never with baby lying down.  This helps baby feed easier and prevents fluid from traveling into the middle ear, which can cause ear infections.

To redeem a gift card, you must have a Smilo account and be logged in at checkout.  At the Checkout page, you will see a section labeled “Gift Card” where you can enter in your gift card code. Once you’ve entered your code, hit “apply.” The balance of your gift card will be transferred to your account credit.

On the Checkout page, there is a checkbox that reads “Use account credit.” Check the box to pay using account credit.

We use Stripe credit card processing for payments. If you see a charge from Smilo marked “recurring” on your credit card statement, do not be alarmed. This just means that you have elected to save a credit card in your Smilo account. Stripe cannot store CVC codes, therefore Stripe marks the payments made with saved payment information as “recurring” so the card-issuing bank knows why charge requests are missing that information. Stripe is a certified Level 1 PCI Service Provider, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Please note: you do not have to save credit card information to place orders, it is optional.

We only allow one promo or coupon code per order. Depending on the rules of the promo code, you may be able to use the second code on a future order. Please make sure to check the expiration date(s) for the promo code as well as terms and conditions. Certain promo codes are valid for a one-time use and will only work one time.

The truly orthodontic Smilo pacifier is designed by our pediatric dentist to support baby’s developing palate by expanding gently across the roof of the mouth during soothing. Other pacifiers may collapse during soothing which can cause the palate to cave-in over time, also known as cross-bite. Our anatomical shape helps prevent this problem by expanding slightly during soothing. This flex and response helps support the palate and the development of wide, healthy grins.

No. All Smilo pacifiers are developed in cooperation with medical experts and comply with international safety standards and minimal size regulations for soothers and pacifiers. In the rare case a baby manages to squeeze the entire pacifier or soother into their mouth, remove the soother or pacifier as gently as possible by grabbing the soother knob or ring. It is designed to be easily and safely removed.

Yes. The team at Smilo have developed the clip to meet all safety standards and requirements. The length of the band on the Smilo pacifier clip is within regulation. Check the clip for damage before use and always clip make sure the clip is firmly secured to the child’s cloths.

When sterilizing or cleaning the pacifiers, they may take in some water.  We recommend using the Smilo disinfecting box, cleaning in your dishwasher top tray at 140°F or microwave sterilization. If you see water droplets inside the nipple, they will air dry if placed in a dry location. You can also give the pacifier a few hard shakes to get most of the water out. Why does this happen? Sometimes water may enter the inside of the nipple because of a ventilation system that exists between the nipple and the plastic parts.  This is also what allows the pacifier to flex and stretch to better fit the mouth. When the baby’s tongue pushes on the nipple, the air from inside the nipple is pushed out through the ventilation system and the nipple will flex and stretch to fit the palate. The ventilation system is needed to allow the technology to work.
